How we handle your details

Who we are

Oman Events Exhibition & Conference is organised by Muscat Stars Investment (MSI), Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. MSI decides how the information described here is used, and is responsible for it.

What we collect, and when

When you register as a visitor we ask for your full name, job title, company, email address and country. A phone number and a LinkedIn profile are optional, and the form works without them.

When you enquire about exhibiting or sponsorship we ask for your name, email, phone, company and your message, so the team can reply with a quote.

On the day of the event, scanning your badge at the door records that the badge was scanned, when, and at which entrance. It does not record anything about where you go inside the venue.

We do not ask for and do not want financial information. Nothing is sold on this site and there is no payment page.

Why we need it

To issue your pass and let you in. Your name, company and job title are printed on your badge; your email is where we send the pass.

To tell you what you asked to be told. If you registered before the seminar programme was published, we will email it to you once it is settled, because the form said we would.

To count how many people came, which is the number MSI reports to partners and exhibitors. Those reports are totals, never lists of individuals.

Marketing email about future MSI events is separate. The box is not ticked for you, and we only send it if you tick it. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link that works without signing in.

What is on your badge

Your badge carries a QR code holding your name, job title, company, email, LinkedIn and, if you gave one, your phone number, so exhibitors you meet can save your details. Anyone who scans it gets those fields.

Leave the phone field blank at registration to keep your number off it. You can also simply decline to have your badge scanned; nobody at the event can scan it without you handing it over.

Who else sees it

MSI staff running registration, the desk and the doors.

Exhibitors whose stand you allow to scan your badge, and only the fields listed above.

Our service providers, who process it on our instructions and for no purpose of their own: Supabase, which hosts the database (Mumbai region), Resend, which delivers our email, and Vercel, which hosts the site.

We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to anyone else for their own marketing.

Analytics

We measure how many people visit which pages, using Vercel Analytics. It sets no cookies and does not build a profile of you or follow you to other sites. There is no advertising network on this site and no tracking pixel.

How long we keep it

We keep registration and enquiry records for the 2026 edition and while we plan the next one, so that we can send you the programme, admit you at the door, and invite you again if you asked to be invited.

You can ask us to delete your record at any time, including before the event, and we will do it.

Your rights

Under Oman’s Personal Data Protection Law you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, and withdraw your consent to marketing email at any time.

Withdrawing marketing consent does not cancel your pass, and unsubscribing from email does not remove your registration. If you want both, say so and we will do both.

Email us and we will act on it. We do not require a form or a particular wording.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over HTTPS only. The admin console is restricted to named MSI accounts with confirmed email addresses and two-step sign-in, and door staff accounts are limited to scanning badges and can see nothing else.

If something does go wrong in a way that affects you, we will tell you.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your details we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be emailed to registered visitors rather than quietly published.
